International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
6.5 minimum overall score; minimum 5.5 in each section

Successful completion of the advanced (400) level of the EFAS program satisfies the University of Waterloo's English Language Requirement for undergraduate students. In order to successfully complete the 400 level, students must have an overall average of 85% in coursework, with at least an 80% in each core subject, and at least 80% on the final exit test. Students must also attend at least 80% of their classes.
The University reserves the right to withdraw any Offer of Admission if the applicant fails to meet the minimum English language requirements for the faculty to which he or she has applied.
If you have completed your 4 most recent years of full-time education in an English-language school system and you also provide a failing English language test score, the University reserves the right to withdraw your Offer of Admission or refuse admission.
